About the Blytheville Band Department

The Blytheville Band Department consists of 217 students in the Blytheville (AR) Public Schools.  Students can begin their instrumental music education in the fifth grade.  The Blytheville High School Band includes marching, concert and jazz band in the scheduled school day.  In addition, Sectional classes are offered to provide students with guided practice and instruction.  Students are also exposed to Winterguard and Percussion Ensemble.  The high school band includes grades 9-12.

Introducing the new CMB "Chickasaw Marching Band" and announcing our 2011 competitive field show "Red is Blue" the music of Ben Folds.  This year, there will be a required marching band retreat for all students that will be in the high school band in the next school year.  We will be going to Viola, Arkansas August 1-5, 2011.
